Cartoon Christmas

Starting today, for at least the next month (but maybe a few days longer as circumstances allow), I’m going to do a little Christmas charity here at the cartoon blog. Here’s how it’s going to work:

1. High-quality, full-color cartoon prints are going to be on sale for $30, which will include shipping (although if it’s an older cartoon that isn’t in color, then it’s going to be black and white). I’ll sign them if you want me to.

2. All of the money collected by December 15, with the exception of what I need to spend on shipping (the reinforced envelopes and the postage usually ends up costing between $4 and $5), will go to a holiday charity for underprivileged children and / or families in the Lincoln and Omaha areas.

Kill two birds with one stone this year! Give your loved ones a unique gift while also giving to those less fortunate! Ever wondered how you can tell Jon Camp “Merry Christmas” and help needy children at the same time? Here’s your chance!

Click here to place your order — just be sure to tell me which cartoon you’d like. Either tell me the date and publication or just copy the web address here on the blog.

THE FINE PRINT:
I have done absolutely no research on which charities, so I’ll gladly take suggestions. If you want to tie your purchase to a specific one, let me know and I’ll make it so. Once any specific allocations are made, I’ll most likely split whatever money is left down the middle between Omaha and Lincoln.

I’m going to reserve the right to make judgment calls on where to allocate the funds in the process, but I’ll be totally transparent about it. For example, let’s say Jim Bob’s Food for Families needs to have all their Christmas donations by December 5. Well, I’m not going to just exclude them since I said the cutoff here is December 15.

I’ll probably keep bumping this post throughout the next couple of weeks. If you have any thoughts or questions on this, please feel free to comment here or send me an email to nealo at nealo dot com.

I might be interested in your “What I Believe” cartoon with Big Foot riding Nessy. If you finish it, that is.

At first I couldn’t think of any I’d want to own…but then I realized that just about any cartoon with that moon-bat Eshliman would be good. I may have to think about it some…

In all seriousness, very awesome, Neal. Hats off to ya!

You know… It’s a lot easier to kill two birds with one stone than people think. You just have to a) not lose the stone, and b) make an afternoon of it. I killed like eight birds with one stone last weekend.
