I wrote a piece last week on the similarity between cartoons depicting Bonds with an asterisk.
Apparently Steve Breen doesn’t look at other people’s cartoons either…or maybe he just thinks this is an original take on Barry Bonds and The Asterisk.
Check out his cartoon from today’s Union-Tribune.
Cagle’s original cartoon is well drawn and makes sense (even though he incorrectly has Bonds batting right-handed, as pointed out in the previous piece).
Koterba’s cartoon is poorly drawn, and Bonds swinging and missing at the asterisk doesn’t make sense.
Breen’s cartoon is probably the worst, though, since Bonds hit his first 411 home runs before he started using steroids.
